Aylesford: Man hit by car

A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car.
Kent Police was called to the crash in Rochester Road, Aylesford, at 5.19am today. It was reported to involve a car and a pedestrian.
Officers attended the scene, as did crews from the ambulance service who treated the pedestrian, a man, for a leg injury.
This man has since been taken to a local hospital.
To ensure public safety officers enforced a road closure which saw traffic diverted onto the Maidstone-bound A249 however this has since been lifted.
