Leybourne: Lorry driver burned in fire on A228

A lorry driver has suffered burns after the seat in his cab caught fire.
Emergency services were called to the A228 in Leybourne, at the crossroads by the RSPCA centre, at 9.05pm yesterday.
When fire crews arrived they found a man, thought to be around 40 years old, with burns to his hand and fingers, following the blaze.
They gave him first aid while they awaited the ambulance service.
The driver was then passed into the care of South East Coast Ambulance Service. Crews had left by 10.40pm.
