14:55, 17 December 2015
Four men have been arrested on suspicion of entering the UK illegally.
Two men from Iraq and two from Iran were picked up by officers in East Peckham yesterday afternoon.
Kent Police arrived in Banbridges Road at 1.18pm and called the Home Office.
Three of the men's cases are being considered while one is being held at an immigration detention centre.
A Home Office spokesman said: "After being interviewed by immigration officers the two Iranians and one man from Iraq must now report regularly to the Home Office while their cases are considered.
"The remaining Iraqi man remains in immigration detention. Where someone is found to have no right to remain in the UK, we will take action to remove them."
