Traffic on one of Kent's busiest motorways is now moving freely following an earlier police incident.
Junction 4 of the M20 London bound was closed in both directions while officers dealt with a man distressed on the footbridge.
Officers negotiated with the man for almost an hour before he was eventually coaxed away from the scene safely at about 7.40am.
Traffic was held up on both sides of the carriageway, between junctions 4 and 5, throughout the duration before being released.
Traffic was reportedly stationary as a result of the incident by the A228 at Leybourne/Snodland.
