A man was shocked to come home to find his car had been battered and dragged up the road.

Jordan Harris walked to his home in Mercer Close, Larkfield, after a long day’s work to discover his Honda Civic not where he had left it.

The black car had been dragged up the road and had scratches along the side of it. There was a large indent on the front panel.

There was no note left on the window and Mr Harris has been looking for information on what happened.

The 28-year-old said: “I usually park on the road because we do not have room for two cars on my drive way. It's never been a problem before.

"I am upset and angry that no note was left and I have been left with the bill.

"I've got nowhere. There was more than one set of eyes but no one is really helping me out.

“I am still asking people around my road if anyone has seen anything on their Ring doorbells. The longer this goes on the less hope I have that anything will happen.”

Mr Harris who works at MC Rentals nearby says the car will cost £3,400 to repair or it will be written off.

He added: “I should not have to pay for my car damages as I have not done anything wrong.”

One neighbour claims he saw a bin lorry cause the damage.

Mr Harris tried to contact the company for more information. He said: “I have been told by Urbaser that there was no cameras on the rears of the lorries but now they say that there were cameras but they were not recording.

“They’ve also said without the registration number of the vehicle they won’t be able to investigate.

“I feel like I am being lied to.”

Urbaser has been contacted for comment.
