Person hit by train escapes with minor injuries

A man hit by a train at Penshurst Railway Station was left with only minor injuries.
Services were suspended between Redhill and Tonbridge following the incident, which was reported at 4.20pm on Tuesday, April 3.
An air ambulance and paramedics on the ground attended, where the man was found to have relatively minor injuries to their lower arm and upper body.
He is still in Tunbridge Wells Hospital where he was taken after being treated at the scene.
Southern Railway set up a replacement bus service for the customers affected.
The line later reopened at around 7.30pm.
