A singer with cerebral palsy who uses his voice to inspire others is guest starring on Michael McIntyre's Big Show alongside his “hero” footballer Frank Lampard.

Alfie Draper who lives near Broadwater Road in West Malling has been singing ever since he can remember.

When he first started out in music the 25-year-old singer songwriter started busking in Maidstone town centre and is passionate about promoting opportunities for people with disabilities.

And tonight he’ll be guest appearing – and performing - in one of his favourite TV shows.

In a video posted on his social media accounts, he said: “Tonight I’ll be performing on Michael McIntyre's Big Show.

“The fun starts at 6.50pm on BBC One make sure you tune in.

“I can’t wait to perform for you guys. Please let me know what you think of the show and my performance and I will see you then. Love you, thank you very much.”

In tonight’s show, Alfie appeared as the “unexpected guest” and filmed scenes alongside his “hero”, former Chelsea and England footballer Frank Lampard.

Ahead of his performance, he said: “I like to see joy on people's faces when I sing and I think for me you can make a real big change when you put positive energy in the world and I think that's what we should all be here to do.”

Michael McIntyre's Big Show is a British variety and stand-up comedy television series, presented by British comedian Michael McIntyre.

It is being broadcast on BBC One tonight (January 20) and can also be watched live or viewed back on iPlayer.
