Volkswagen Transporter stolen during burglary in Potyns Walk, Snodland

Thieves who took a van after breaking into a house in the early hours were stopped by police less than a mile away.
The victim’s home in Potyns Walk, Snodland, was broken into yesterday (May 19).
The suspects took the keys and the vehicle, a silver Volkswagen transporter, before driving it down Cemetery Road towards Constitution Hill.
Police were alerted to the burglary and spotted the stolen vehicle, chasing it to Clock Tower Mews – where it stopped.
Two people were seen getting out and a 30-year-old man from Snodland was arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
The man has since been bailed pending further inquiries but the second suspect is still unknown.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time and may have dash cam or doorbell footage from the Potyns Walk and Holborough Road areas from 3.40am on Sunday, May 19.
