Southeastern run bus replacement services between Sevenoaks and Tonbridge as tunnel closed for safety reasons

A rail operator has suspended journeys between Sevenoaks and Tonbridge while a tunnel is closed for safety reasons.
Southeastern has introduced bus replacement services between the towns in both directions while inspections of the the two-mile long Sevenoaks Tunnel are carried out.
Arriva bus route 402 is accepting tickets between Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks and Dunton Green.
A Network Rail spokesman said: "At around 10.30am a train driver reported water coming from the roof of Sevenoaks Tunnel. Under new rules brought in following the Stonehaven tragedy, the line has been blocked until a structures engineer can inspect the tunnel.
"As of 11.50am she is on her way through the tunnel to find the source of the water and check the lining of the bore."
It is hoped the tunnel will reopen in the next hour.
On August 12 three people, including the driver and a conductor, died after a passenger train derailed near Stonehaven in Scotland.
