Disruption on Southeastern trains between Otford and Maidstone East after lorry hit bridge
11:00, 27 October 2017
Trains were delayed this morning, after a lorry hit a bridge between Borough Green and West Malling.
Southeastern warned passengers of disruption on services between Otford and Maidstone East following the crash, shortly before 10.20am.
It meant trains were having to run at a reduced speed until the line was checked.
Normal service resumed shortly after 11am.
It comes a day after Network Rail revealed a list of the most frequently damaged railway bridges in Kent.
The one over the Alkham Valley Road at Kearsney received the most clouts.
The firm says incidents in the south east cost the company around £7.5 million to fix last year.
