A trucker was left needing hospital treatment for "glass in his eyes" after a fellow driver reportedly pulled up alongside him and fired a slingshot through his window.
The bizarre attack took place at around 1.30am on Saturday on the A228 in West Malling and was reported in a post on social media.
William Morrison, who described the alleged victim as one of his drivers, wrote: "A car came up his off side and opened the window and fired a sling shot at the truck and smashed the side window.
"[The driver] ended up in hospital with glass in his eyes.
"Police came and took statement but had to leave him as they had struck again but this time the other truck had run off [road]."
Mr Morrison later said the trucker had been released from hospital with minor cuts and bruises,
Police confirmed it had received a report of criminal damage over the weekend.
A spokesman said: "The driver of the vehicle reported his window had been smashed whilst he was travelling near Leybourne.
"Officers attended the scene where he had suffered an eye injury during the incident. He received medical treatment from the South East Coast Ambulance Service."
