A woman with plenty of stories to tell her friends has celebrated her 100th birthday.
Iris Lomakin was joined by family, friends and other residents at Winchester House Care Home in Rochester to celebrate the landmark birthday.
A champagne reception was held with guests enjoying a hand-made birthday cake and Iris was delighted to receive a telegram from the King.
The devoted mother and grandmother said: "I am so pleased to have so many lovely people looking after me. Thank you."
Her son David said: "Mum is – and has been – a fantastic mother and grandmother and friend to so many over the past hundred years.
"It's wonderful to be with her on this very special day to say just how proud she makes us feel."
Liza Burchell, general manager of Barchester Winchester House, added: "We're delighted to be celebrating a truly remarkable woman as she reaches this amazing milestone.
"Iris is such a popular resident who always has an interesting tale to tell and we look forward to hearing many more as she breaks into her next century."
