Duo charged with drugs offences after £60,000 found in Maidstone and Medway homes following warrant

Two men have been charged with drugs offences after police seized more than £60,000 following a warrant.

Officers found the cash as well as a number of Class A substances at two properties in Medway and Maidstone on Monday.

Large sums of money were found at both addresses, while 134 grams of suspected cocaine and a replica firearm were uncovered at the other.

Ross Staines, 22, of Maidstone Road, Rochester, and Lewis Weaver, 22, of Reginald Road, Maidstone, were both arrested and charged with conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs and possessing criminal property.

Both men were remanded in custody and appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday.
