The driver of this car was lucky to escape from the wreckage after it flipped over when it hit a bollard.
Firefighters, police and ambulance crews were called out to Bill Street Road, Frindsbury, shortly after 7.30am, after the car ended up upside down on the road.
However, the man driving the car, a black Toyota Verso, was able to get out of the car before the emergency services arrived.
Police closed the road to traffic until the car could be removed, but the driver is not thought to have suffered serious injuries during the incident.
The vehicle suffered extensive damage to one side when it is believed it hit a bollard in the road.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters made the crash scene safe while the man was treated by paramedics.
He was later taken to a hospital in Medway with chest injuries.
Bill Street Road was closed from Prospect Avenue to Frindsbury Road and was reopened by 10.30am.
