Driver seriously hurt in car and lorry crash on A228 near High Halstow on the Hoo Penninsula

A driver has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash between a car and a lorry.
The accident happened on the A228 near High Halstow on the Hoo Penninsula, just after 7am today.
The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, has been taken to a London hospital with serious injuries described by police as life changing.
A spokesman for the force said they were called at 7.13am, adding: "Road closures are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area."
But the road reopened at around 3pm.
