A man is set to run in the virtual London Marathon to raise funds for a sexual abuse support charity.
Alex Skinner, from Rainham , will be participating in the event on Sunday in aid of Gravesend based charity, Family Matters.
All 45,000 participants will be completing the marathon in their own way, with Alex choosing to take on the 26.2 mile race by following a route through his local towns and villages in the Medway area.
Alex works for Perrys Accountancy in Rochester which has been supporting Family Matters since 2016 and has already raised more than £25,000 through a series of activities.
The charity offers support services, including free one-to-one counselling sessions, to those who have been affected by sexual abuse or rape.
Alex, who has also completed the Brighton Marathon and is hoping to finish the virtual London Marathon in under four hours, said: "I know it's going to be a really tough challenge, but also very exciting.
"I managed to complete the Brighton Marathon in exactly four hours so I'm hoping to try to equal this if possible."
