Humans are not the only creatures which like basking in the sun during the hot weather.
As you can see from this photo taken by Paul Fouracre, snakes like to do it just as much as us humans do.
Mr Fouracre, an amateur photographer and self confessed Star Wars geek, spotted the adder at Riverside Country Park, in Lower Rainham, in Gillingham.
He tweeted us a picture of it earlier today and said: "Snapped this beauty today at riverside. Some people saying its the UK rarest, smooth snake."
However, Donna Zimmer quickly identified the reptile as a female adder who she thinks is about to shed its skin.
She tweeted: "It's a female adder just about to shed its skin.
"There is a good population of them at RCP (Riverside Country Park) in Gillingham.
"Smooth Snakes only occur in Surrey and Dorset and Hampshire areas."
