A town centre is to be lit up as part of a free, festival of light which will transform iconic buildings and spaces into works of art.
Rochester will host Medway Light Nights and see performances projected onto the castle walls, parades descending onto the High Street and gardens and car parks hosting exhibits and a lot more.
Medway Council in partnership with art organisation Emergency Exit Arts has commissioned local, national and internationally-renowned artists, to work alongside the Towns' young people and communities, to deliver the event.
Visitors can expect to see optical illusions created by light, sound and mirrors produced by Lucid Creates, a lantern parade and outdoor film by Cohesion Plus, a mass movement performance by Icon Theatre and multiple art installations, a fire display and a poetry trail.
There will also be several Charles Dickens-themed sights including a mural by street artist Dream Safari which can be spotted next to his chalet in Eastgate Gardens where the author worked on his novels.
The event runs from Friday and Saturday, February 11-12 at 6pm to 9pm in Rochester High Street and surrounding areas.
