Eight animals have died after a fire in Rochester cattery this morning.
Firefighters were called just before 4am to reports of a fire in a building in Corporation Street
Crews say the fire broke out in the roof of the single-storey building, which was being used as a cattery.
Crews used breathing apparatus and tackled the fire using a covering jet, hose reel jets and a main jet.
Sadly seven cats and a dog are believed to have died in the fire.
