Armed police called out to Perry Street, Chatham, after a brawl between group of men

Armed police were called to a quiet street after a fight broke out between a group of men.
Officers were called to Perry Street, Chatham, shortly before 12.40pm on Thursday July 12 after the group were seen brawling.
One man was taken to a London Hospital after being badly beaten during the fight - and remains in hospital.
Two other men, who were taken to Medway Maritime Hospital, in Gillingham, were arrested on suspicion of affray and were questioned by officers after receiving medical treatment.
The two arrested men are both from Chatham, aged 46 and 29, and have been released under investigation.
No further arrests have been made but enquiries are ongoing.
James Walker, a spokesman for Kent Police said armed officers were sent to the scene, but this was because they were the nearest available resource when the call about the trouble came in.
There are no reports of a firearm being involved in this incident.
Mr Walker added: "Kent Police was called to a disturbance at a property in Perry Street, Chatham, at 12.36pm.
"Officers attended alongside crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service."
The fight is said to have broken out in a block of flats at the start of the street.
One man who lives in the street but didn't want to be named, said: "The street was swarming with armed police and I saw a man walking around covered in blood, he had a head injury.
There was blood on the steps of the flats and on the path outside and some blood spatters on the road."
