Man arrested following collision in Lower Rochester Road, Wainscott

A driver was arrested following a crash which left a man in hospital and a dog dead.
Police and ambulance crews were called to a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Lower Rochester Road near Wainscott, near Rochester, at 11.40pm last night.
A man was taken to hospital, and a dog he was walking at the time of the crash sadly died.
The walker's injuries are not described as life-threatening.
A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving but has been bailed until July 4 pending further inquiries.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
