An arsonist is thought to be responsible for setting rubbish alight on several occasions this week around the Darnley Road, area of Strood.
Firefighters were called out on several occasions on Monday night to put out rubbish fires which had been started in alleyways in the area.
Then a crew from Strood who were on duty overnight last night (Tuesday) said they were called out to two rubbish fires in the area during their shift.
They were first called out at about 11pm to put out a fire in an alleyway off Northcote Road, and then shortly before 1am they were called out to nearby Humber Crescent where they had to put out another rubbish fire.
It is understood information about the incidents has been passed on to police.
