Police appeal after attack in Borstal near Rochester leaves victim with head injuries

A man was kicked in the head and body during a street attack which left him needing hospital care.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the assault in Borstal near Rochester was reported to officers.

The victim was taken to hospital after the attack between 9.40pm and 10pm on Thursday, October 1 on Borstal Street.

He reported he was walking along the road which runs through the middle of the village when he fell over.

While he was lying on the floor, he said two men approached him and kicked him in the chest, arms and head.

The victim suffered arm and head injuries which required treatment in hospital. He has since been discharged.

Both suspects have been described as black with slim builds and aged between 20 and 25, police said.

Officers arrested a man in his 20s from Rochester on October 2 on suspicion of assault. He was released pending further inquiries.
