Teenagers with 'bladed weapon' rob boy in Great Lines Heritage Park, Gillingham

A boy was allegedly threatened with a 'bladed weapon' and robbed of his phone by balaclava-wearing teenagers in a park.

The victim and a friend were walking along the Great Lines in Gillingham last Saturday when they were approached by two boys at around 4.15pm.

It is alleged that one suspect held the victim, while the other threatened him with a red-handled bladed weapon and stole his phone.

The teenagers are reported to have fled the scene when they were disturbed by a passing member of the public.

Both suspects were wearing black balaclavas and are described as being around 16-years-old.

One was white, around 5ft 11in tall with ginger hair. He was wearing a light-coloured hooded top and grey jogging bottoms.

The other was described as mixed race and was wearing a blue coat, dark blue jogging bottoms, and rainbow-tinted glasses.

Officers are seeking witnesses or anyone with information that may assist the investigation.

Residents with CCTV living near the Great Lines or drivers with dashcam footage who were in the area at the time, are also asked to check for relevant footage.
