Friends and family have gathered to release balloons in an emotional tribute to Michael Tierney as two men were charged with his murder.
About 100 of Mr Tierney's family and friends joined together in Victoria Park, in Fort Pitt Hill, Chatham, where they let off hundreds of green, white, gold and orange balloons.
According to an online memorial page, a similar memorial took place in Galway, Ireland, organised by Mr Tierney's relatives.
Two men have been charged with his murder while a woman has also appeared at court accused of assisting an offender.
Karen Tierney, his cousin, said: "He was a great guy and lots of people were asked to change their Facebook picture to his and we were very humbled by the people who did it a tribute to him and how well liked he was."
Mr Tierney, 33, who lived in Glencoe Road, Chatham, who was known as Micky, was found injured in Haig Avenue, Chatham, shortly before 11pm on Tuesday and taken to a London hospital but died from his injuries on Thursday.
Detectives made six arrests in connection with his murder.
On the Gone Too Soon Micky Tierney #RIP page Susan Yilmaz wrote: "I'm still in shock that we're never going to see you walk up ordnance (street) again with that big happy smile!
"I don't ever remember you not being there when I was growing up every St Patricks day at the O'connels (bar) you would be the first one cheering us all on for Irish dancing.
"I have so many childhood memories with you in them! You was taken far too soon, Mike. We all love you and will never forget you lots of love Zana xxx"
Lucy Campbell said he had only met Micky once four years ago, but he had made a huge impression.
She said: "He came into a pub I worked in day after paddys day, ordered tequila for everyone in the bar.
