A Medway pensioner has died after falling off his motorbike and being hit by a car in Edenbridge.
It happened as he tried to take a sharp left-hand bend with a group of riders travelling along Green Lane, towards Four Elms, yesterday morning.
The 69-year-old, from Gillingham, was flown to the Royal London Hospital, but died from his injuries.
Officers from the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for witnesses.
Police say that about 10.50am a group of Triumph motorcycle riders were travelling along the B2042 Green Lane when the crash happened.
The group were negotiating a sharp left-hand bend, when the man fell from his blue Triumph into the path of an oncoming gold Nissan Micra.
The driver of the Nissan Micra, the only occupant, was uninjured.
The road was closed until 4.40pm while an investigation was carried out.
Witnesses are asked to phone PC Guy Ditcher or DC David Holmes on 01622 798538.
