It has been confirmed that a motorcyclist in his 30s died in a crash on an industrial estate.
The collision between a blue Suzuki motorbike, a silver Audi A4 estate and a red Peugeot 207 happened at 3.15pm yesterday in Anthonys Way, at its junction with Chaucer Close, in Medway City Estate, Strood.
A member of staff from A&A Training Ltd, based in nearby George Summers Close, and an army first responder began CPR while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
Traffic was brought to a standstill as police blocked both lanes.
Paramedics took over CPR and an air ambulance landed in a nearby field.
A white tarpaulin was put up and witnesses say medical responders attempted a blood transfusion on-site.
However, the man, from the Gillingham area, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and floral tributes have now been left at the scene.
Medway Council advised the road would stay shut until midnight.
Many workers on the estate had to abandon their cars until the traffic started moving at 8pm.
A&A director Andy Le Grove said: "The lady who works with me did a great job, as soon as she knew what happened she ran out with a defibrillator and started chest compressions.
"She had a debrief with the air ambulance staff and I'm going to bring her a bunch of flowers this morning.
"It's absolutely terrible what happened.
"This is the second time someone has died in that spot, there is a memorial bench where another young man was killed a few years ago.
"Something more needs to be done to improve the safety on the road."
Earlier this month council bosses revealed a new slip road is to be built to tackle almost daily problems on Medway City Estate during the evening rush-hour.
Officers are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and are urging anyone who saw the cars or the motorcycle in the moments leading up to the collision, or who have dash cam footage from the area around the time, to contact them.
Witnesses can call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798 538, quoting reference DB/MR/113/19.
