A blocked chimney caused smoke to billow into other homes after a fire broke out inside the flue.
Firefighters from Strood and Rochester were called out to a flat in Castle Hill, Rochester about 7.30pm on Tuesday , after smoke billowed into properties below the top floor flat.
Crews used a thermal imaging camera to see where the fire was in the flue and after locating it were then able to put the fire out.
People living below were unharmed and advice was given by crews to the property’s owner about keeping the chimney unblocked.
