Body found at Rochester Bridge, Corporation Street, as emergency services cordon pavement

A body has been found near a town-centre bridge which has been taped off by police and ambulance crews.
Police officers were called to the Chatham-bound side of the Rochester Bridge in Corporation Street at about 7.25am
Officers taped off a section of the pavement where a tarpaulin has been placed.
An ambulance and fire engine were also at the scene just before 8am.
Police had cordoned off the pavement from the Rochester side up to the traffic light crossing.
An officer on the Strood side of the bridge was redirecting people across the scene.
Police remain at the scene conducting inquiries to establish the full circumstances.
