A body has been recovered after emergency crews were called to the River Medway in Rochester yesterday.
Ambulance, police, fire and coastguard crews were called to Rochester Bridge yesterday at 5.20pm, due to concerns for an adult in the water.
Kent Police said officers attended alongside other emergency services and a body was recovered.
Their next of kin has been informed and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency said, Medway and Sheppey Coastguard Rescue Teams joined the rescue effort alongside Sheerness RNLI lifeboat, the coastguard helicopter from Lee-on-Solent, and a private vessel.
