A schoolboy suffered minor injuries after being hit by a car in View Road, in Cliffe Woods this afternoon.

The boy, who has not been named, was injured at about 3.30pm and the emergency services were sent to the scene.

It is understood the boy, who is 11, suffered cuts and bruising during the incident and was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for treatment.
