A bus company has suspended a service for the safety of its staff and passengers after a window was smashed.
Arriva posted on X, formerly Twitter, to say one of its buses was attacked last Wednesday night in Dering Way, Gravesend.
The general manager for the Gillingham depot said: “This led to a window being smashed whilst passengers were onboard.
“We are thankful nobody was harmed during this but unfortunately now must act on this matter as this is not an isolated incident.”
The company revealed it will be suspending the 190 service from Dering Way until the end of the school summer holidays, when it will review the situation.
The manager continued: “Safety must be paramount to our staff and customers.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but passenger and staff safety is something we take extremely seriously.”
