A228 Sundrige Hill, Cuxton, blocked due to truck fire near Rochester

Traffic is building on a busy road after two fire engines were called to tackle a truck fire.
Firefighters were called to the A228 Sundridge Hill in Cuxton, near Rochester at around 10.30am.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “Crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using hose reel jets.
“No injuries have been reported and the cause is believed to be accidental.”
Reports from traffic monitoring tool Inrix state the A228 Sundridge Hill is blocked in both directions.
There is queueing traffic between Roman Way and M2 J2 (Strood / Rochester), although this is now clearing.
Police have been approached for more information.
