A busy road near a railway station that was closed for roadworks, causing traffic mayhem, has reopened.
Station Road, Strood, is now clear and open ahead of schedule.
Kent Online reported the road had been closed since 6.45pm on Thursday, June 29 after SGN started emergency gas repairs.
The repairs were due to end tomorrow, July 7 at 11.59pm.
The works had caused disruption for drivers traveling on the A2, Strood High Street and Medway City Estate.
Medway Bus Passenger Group had posted to say the 191 bus service had faced long delays and cancellations and that it was taking 70 minutes between Wainscott and Strood, which normally takes 10 minutes.
This afternoon, SGN confirmed the cones had been cleared.
