A taxi driver and his child passenger had a lucky escape when their cab crashed into a garage.

As this dramatic picture shows, the car almost demolished the private garage and cannot be moved until the structure is made safe.

A chunk of concrete fell from the garage and smashed the vehicle’s windscreen but, amazingly, no one was hurt.
