Arrest after male shooting gun at car window in Napier Road, Gillingham, caught on CCTV camera

A teenager has been arrested after footage showing a man shooting out a car window with a gun was released on Facebook.

An 18-year-old man from Gillingham was arrested yesterday, in connection with the incident in Napier Road, Gillingham.

The footage, which has now been viewed more than 36,000 times, shows two men walking past the car, before one of them pulls out a gun and shoots the driver’s window.

The incident took place on Thursday, January 7, at 9.35pm.

The owner of the car, Tori Cobbold, 40, owns the salon Beauty at Tori’s on Livingstone Circus but parks her car outside her husband’s shop, Woodland Magick on Napier Road.

The footage was taken from his CCTV camera.

A police spokesman said: “An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a car window being found smashed in Napier Road, Gillingham, in the morning on January 8.

“The man, from Gillingham, was arrested on suspicion of interfering or tampering with a motor vehicle. He has been bailed until Wednesday, March 2, pending further enquiries."
