Anim-Mates brothers Chutney and Whiskey and 16-week-old Betty are looking for new homes
10:10, 23 November 2015
Chutney and Whiskey are 12-year-old brothers who are feeling lost and confused since their owner went into a care home without her cats.
They spent six weeks on their own with only a neighbour popping in to feed them.
Anim-Mates is trying to find them a new home. Volunteer Bobbie Bajwa said: “As they are not dependent on each other, Chutney and Whiskey could be re-homed separately, however if someone wanted two mature, friendly cats that would be ideal.
“They just want a warm home and someone to love them. A calm and quiet home without young children would suit them best.”
Chutney and Whiskey are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated.
If you can offer a home, call Bobbie on 07808 625519.
Betty, a 16-week-old black rabbit, hopes to follow in the footsteps of Fred, who appeared in this column last week and has already been offered a home.
Fosterer Lisa Inns said: “Like most rabbits Betty needs a companion, so we would like to find her a home where there is an existing sterilised male or female rabbit who is happy to share their hutch.”
Betty is spayed and vaccinated against myxomatosis and VHD. Call Lisa on 01634 578258 or 07796 368243 to help.
Anim-Mates is a volunteer-run animal rescue group based in St Mary Hoo. All animals are cared for in the homes of fosterers until they are rehomed. All new homes are subject to vetting. Visit www.anim-mates.org.uk.
