Crash between car and lorry on A289 Wainscott bypass leaves person in hospital

A person has been taken to hospital following a crash on a dual carriageway.
The patient was injured in the incident at 8.50am on the A289 Wainscott bypass near Strood which involved a car and a lorry.
Paramedics also attended the scene and took the casualty to Medway Maritime Hospital.
Witnesses said a white Ford Mustang had been involved in a collision and a person could be seen receiving first aid from other motorists passing the scene.
Queues were building in the area tailing back towards the Four Elms roundabout.
A police spokesman said inquiries were ongoing.
