A car caught alight in Rochester yesterday.
Firefighters were called to John Street at 8.15pm after smoke started pouring from the dashboard of the Vauxhall.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said: “A man in his late 20s was driving when smoke started coming from his dashboard. We used fire hoses to extinguish it and stop smoke going into open windows of people's homes.”
Crews spent half hour on the scene.
