A driver who died after crashing into a roundabout in Strood had fallen ill prior to the accident, the coroner's office has said.
The 58-year-old, who has not been named but is believed to have lived in Rochester, was left fighting for her life after her Toyota Avensis car ploughed into a roundabout leading to Medway Valley Park, near Cuxton.
She was taken to hospital after the accident, which happened at 10.15pm on Monday, December 29, but died there two days later.
It is believed she had left the area of the park and was trying to pull out on to the A228 Cuxton Road when the crash happened.
No other vehicles were involved but the road was closed for several hours while Kent Police’s serious collision investigation unit attended.
The death has been attributed to natural causes.
