A woman was injured after a car crashed into a tree in a busy town centre this morning.
Paramedics treated her at the scene near Rainham Healthy Living Centre in the High Street.
Two fire crews and police were also called to the accident just after 11am.
It’s not clear at this stage if the woman was the driver or passenger in the vehicle involved in the collision.
The owner of Turkish restaurant Galata, Abuzer Kartala, said: “We were just setting up to open when we heard a loud crash. The car had gone through the barrier at the healthy living centre.”
Emergency services have been contacted for comment.
