A motorist took the direction 'go straight over the roundabout' too literally when their car ended up stuck in a bush.

A blue Corsa ended up on the top of a roundabout on Pier Road opposite The Strand, in Gillingham yesterday.

Luckily, no one was injured after the accident.

The picture was taken by Brad Burnett who saw the car hidden in the greenery from his flat window and he posted it on Facebook.

Facebook users seemed to be amused and responded with an array of puns.

Brad, who is a student, said: "My favourite was "Think it went off Corsa" by Rob Valentine."

Other Facebook users thought it was a great new parking spot, including Sean Bennett who said: "Protesting against car park charges at The Strand."

The car was towed away at about 11am later that day.

James Walker a spokesman for police said officers were called to the incident at 9.12am.

Mr Walker added: "It was reported that a car had been involved in a collision with barriers at a roundabout but no injuries were sustained."
