Firefighters tackle fire which spread to home's front door in Charter Street, Chatham

Firefighters stopped a blaze from destroying a house in Chatham earlier today after flames from a car fire spread a nearby home.
A crew were called out shortly before 12.15pm to Charter Street, following a 999 call which alerted them to the blaze.
The vehicle was close to a terraced house and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus put out the fire which had spread to the front door of the property.
The crew had put out the fire and left the scene by 1pm.
