A concerned neighbour is appealing for information after a car ploughed through a garden wall and into a van.
The incident happened just after 2.30am, in Taswell Road, Rainham.
Callum Wilson-Briggs, who lives in the road, heard the crash and rushed to the window.
A silver Volkswagen Golf had careered through his neighbour's front garden wall.
The Golf smashed into the van parked on the drive, which is 19 plate Ford Transit, bought two months ago.
He caught a glimpse of three people sprinting away from the scene.
Mr Wilson-Briggs said: "There were four teenagers, roughly around 17-18 years old.
"There were two boys in black tracksuits, one boy with black jeans and a black hood and a girl.
"The three boys ran off up Scott Avenue and the female ran up Wakeley Road towards Station Road.
"This is a neigbour's van. I'm good friends with them, and seeing the teenagers run off just made me feel anger, anger that a family business's brand new van, which they have only had for two months, has been damaged."
Mr Briggs has put out an appeal on Facebook for his neighbours, who do not use social media.
Police were called and are searching for the occupants of the vehicle.
