The council has changed the booking system for residents going to the tip with next-day appointments now available.
Previously residents had to wait 48 hours from booking a slot on the Medway Council website but this has now been reduced to 12 hours.
People will still have to book a time slot as before under the changes brought in during the pandemic due to government restrictions.
But the centres in Capstone, Hoath Way and Cuxton will now be able to take bookings quicker than before.
The booking system is remaining in place to help council workers manage ongoing demand and reduce waiting and visiting times at the sites.
Cllr Phil Filmer, Medway Council’s portfolio holder for frontline services, said: “Medway residents benefit from a fantastic waste collection and disposal team, and I am pleased residents can now book a trip to a Medway tip for the next day.
“Thank you to everyone who continues to consciously recycle and sensibly dispose of their waste. Together, we are committed to helping keep Medway clean and tidy.”
Residents will need to provide their name, address and email address as well as their vehicle make, model, colour and registration.
Anyone wishing to attend the tip to dispose of their bulky waste or garden rubbish can go to the council's website medway.gov.uk/tipbooking or call 01634 333333 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
