Suspected burglar charged after restaurant broken into in Rochester

A suspected burglar has been charged after a restaurant was broken into in Rochester.
Kevin Ward, 45, of no fixed address, has been charged with burglary following the incident which happened in the High Street just after midnight on February 16.
During the burglary, the front door had been forced in and cash was stolen along with electronic items and alcohol.
Ward was also charged with theft from a shop which happened at a store in Frindsbury Road, Rochester, on the afternoon of February 19.
He has additionally been charged with vehicle interference following a report that a man was seen attempting to get into a vehicle parked in Grange Road, Rochester, at around 1.40am on February 18.
Ward was charged yesterday and appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court today where he was bailed to appear before the same court on March 5.
