Chatham charity Tillskills hit hard by costly raid
13:43, 01 August 2013
Thieves broke into the office of a charity which helps train jobseekers, causing £400 of damage.
They smashed into Tillskills in Medway Street, Chatham and stole mobile phones.
Founder Ralph Moore described the break-in as “sick”.
Mr Moore, 64, said: "We are a small charity which relies on donations and I don’t know how we are going to find the money to pay for repairs.
“Whoever did this must be desperate.
"If they came in to see what we do during the day to help disadvantaged people looking for work, then maybe would could help him.”
The burglary was overnight on Thursday, July 18.
