Chatham Town suffered a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Ryman League Division 1 South basement-boys Chipstead on Saturday.
Chipstead spurned an early chance before Brendan Cass should have given the Chats the lead, failing to convert from 12 yards out.
The only goal arrived shortly after half-time when Scott Simpson capitalised on some hesitant Town defending and fired home.
Chatham, led by Ray Powell, pictured, pressed for an equaliser but the visitors' defence held firm.
