Chatham Town hope to be back in action against high-flying Whitehawk after enforced lay-off

Chatham hope to return to Ryman League action for the first time in three weeks on Saturday and are aiming to spring a surprise at high-flying Whitehawk.
Third-placed Whitehawk have lost just once at home in Division 1 South but Chatham assistant manager Mark Newson is confident his side, who sit 17th, can emerge with something from their travels.
Newson said: "Some of our better performances have been against those teams that have been in with a shout up there so we don’t see it as an issue.
"Playing against some of the better teams we’ve tended to pull out a performance, whereas for some reason we haven’t done that well against those teams below us.
"We’re certainly not intimidated by those teams above us."
Joe Fuller and Ray Powell (pictured) have been struggling with injuries but could be ready for Saturday.
"There were a few players who had knocks but the break has given them a chance for those injuries to clear up and we go into the game batting with a full squad," said Newson.
