Chatham boss Kevin Watson says his side’s home form is keeping their Ryman League, Division 1 North season alive.

The Chats face Potters Bar Town on Saturday looking to record a fourth successive win at Maidstone Road.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Watson (pictured) said: "At the moment things are just not happening for us away from home.

"Thank goodness we have won three in a row at home, playing some decent stuff along the way."

The Hertfordshire club arrive looking to follow last week’s opponents Romford in doing the double over Chats, having won 2-1 in front of a crowd of just 73 when the teams met in October.

Watson added: "It will be another tough game, as they are doing well and have got some good results lately.

"It is down to us to be ready, physically and mentally, right from the start and not having to chase the game like we did last week, having been 2-0 down in the opening 15 minutes.

"In a way after a performance like that, it would have been better to have had a midweek game to get rid of all the frustrations."

Matt Solly was expected to train during the week after an ankle injury, while defender Kes Metitri picked up a knock at Romford and may need a fitness check.

Defender Jason Barton is available after suspension and Watson is hoping to have a full squad available for selection for the first time in a fortnight.
